On August 25, 2024, the annual International Buddhist Sanghadana (Offering and Sangha Support Gathering) was grandly held in Linkou, Taipei. It was a solemn and compassionate event, embodying the spirit of Buddhism in a magnificent ritual. Buddhist followers and monks from around the world gathered to experience boundless wisdom and compassion under the radiance of the Buddha’s teachings.

On the day of the event, the venue was filled with sacred sounds of Buddhist chants, and the ceremony was conducted with solemn reverence. The offering to the Buddha and the support for the sangha unfolded in a deep atmosphere of devotion. The foundation’s representative delegation from Japan was notably large, consisting of dozens of sangha members, along with several highly respected Japanese dignitaries attending the event in person. Among them were the wives of corporate chairpersons, museum directors, and the president of the Kimono Association, all of whom participated as special guests (VIPs), showing great respect and support for the conference.

These dignitaries wore traditional kimonos, assisted by the president of the Kimono Association. They held offerings in their hands and participated reverently in the ceremonial rituals of offering to the Buddha and supporting the sangha. In that moment, everyone’s spirit was immersed in the compassionate light of the Buddha’s teachings, deeply understanding the precious karmic connections and meaning of honoring the monks and protecting the Dharma.

The chanting of sacred texts, like clear springs, purified the worldly noise, creating an atmosphere of calm and peace throughout the ceremony. Monks and devotees from all regions treated each other with kindness and compassion, elevating their spirits together in the shared experience. Foundation representatives stated that participating in this grand event was an incredibly precious opportunity. They not only felt the warmth and goodwill from Buddhist followers worldwide, but their spirits were also deeply inspired by the exchange of Buddhist teachings.

In the future, the foundation will continue to participate in such international Buddhist events, promoting cultural exchange and charitable work, and using the power of the Buddha’s teachings to bring inner peace to more sentient beings and harmony to the world.
